Inline Hockey Masters World Cup

ASG is proud to highlight that our very own Marty Gwozdz has been invited to play for Team USA this summer in Asiago, Italy for the 10th Inline Hockey Masters World Cup!  Marty resides in St. Louis, MO and will join other Team USA players hailing from destinations like California, Michigan and New York.  He, along with the other players on the team, was asked to join based on demonstrating exceptional skills over several national summer Tournaments.  A distinct honor and privilege.  Team USA will compete for the Gold Medal against 13 other countries starting this June.

Marty is looking forward to the entire experience, having neither been to Europe nor played in the World Cup before.  Marty feels pretty good about their chances too.  According to Marty, “We’ve never won gold before in the Masters Division but we have a good opportunity.  Team USA played it smart this year and asked guys who’ve played together before to increase the team chemistry”.

Play is 4 v 4 plus a goalie and Marty describes inline roller hockey as “a possession game where speed and skill are highlighted”.  He also enjoys the comparison to ice hockey although the inline game has less physicality when it comes to open checking and other components.  Hockey in St. Louis is obviously abuzz in general with the St. Louis Blues playing for the Stanley Cup for the first time since 1970.

During his day job, Marty works as a Data Analyst for Adaptive Solutions Group (ASG).  He likes the problem solving and troubleshooting aspects of his job.  Having never done contract work before, he is really enjoying the role.  “My benefits are great, and I can tell Dane and the entire ASG Team truly care.  They think long term and focus on relationships and finding the right people.”

Best of luck Marty.  We are proud to have you represent Team USA this summer and proud to have you on our team at ASG.
