Adaptive Solutions Group is a St. Louis-based IT recruiting and staffing company, founded in 2002, that focuses on the placement of IT professionals for infrastructure and application development positions. Adaptive Solutions Group currently has 4 offices located in St. Louis (headquarters), Kansas City, Denver, and Dallas.
We offer services for our clients and IT professionals that include contract, contract-to-hire and permanent placement.
It’s very simple: we start with the consultant. Adaptive Solutions Group believes that quality work comes directly from quality of life. We pride ourselves on treating people as people and not as commodities. We seek to understand our consultant’s career aspirations and then match those with the right opportunity.
We offer a very comprehensive benefit package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance. Consultants can also enroll in our long term / short term disability and life insurance plan. All are available on the first of the month after hire date. After 90 days of employment, consultants become eligible to participate in a traditional 401k plan or a Roth 401k that immediately vests with a 4% match. In addition, consultants may choose to elect PTO (paid time off) and/or receive paid holidays.
We work with a wide variety of companies, but our primary focus is on those where our consultants and services are not treated as commodities. We prefer to work with companies where we can establish a working partnership with hiring managers, allowing us to truly understand the client’s needs. We work with companies that treat our consultants with value and respect.
Although the vast majority of our consultants are W-2 employees, we will consider hiring consultants on a 1099 basis. However, we require that candidates be incorporated.
Adaptive Solutions Group does not calculate a mark-up. We have found this practice to be counterproductive for clients. In most cases, when competitors calculate a mark-up, they simply inflate their employees’ direct labor rates so the mark-up percentage produces a higher profit margin.
ASG would rather provide the technical professional, with the appropriate skill set, to fit your hourly budget. That is why ASG bills a client-specified hourly rate.
What is your screening process for potential contractors?
Every open-position is treated with urgency, and our extensive pool of technical professionals allows an average of a 24-48 hour turnaround time for the majority of skill sets.
There is no fee to use our service. It is our job to match-up technical professionals with proper companies which complement experience and background.
Contract-to-hire is a very common practice for many companies who are looking to find permanent employees. You would be a W-2 employee of Adaptive Solutions Group for period of 6 months, at which time the client has the ability to convert you to a full-time employee, as long as the offer is acceptable. Our standard policy requires 6 months of employment prior to conversion.
