Program Release Manager

We are currently looking for a Program Release Manager to join our team.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manages large and/or complex releases through the project lifecycle, including developing plans, schedules, and budgets; driving requirements, allocating resources; monitoring performance against schedule, budget, and quality targets; managing changes, issues and risks; and providing regular communication to leadership and other areas within the organization.
  • Establishes and maintains effective communication with the product teams, other project managers, cross-functional project teams, and internal/ external customers in order to identify key plan tasks and due dates.
  • Establishes and maintains best practices and consistent project management policies and guidelines in line with AURA project management methodologies.
  • Manage and facilitate multiple Product releases including management of release documentation, scheduling of the product releases across environments, Client communications regarding release management, execution of the release events, facilitate retrospective procedures to continuously improve these processes.
  • Supports senior leadership with prioritization of programs within the overall delivery portfolio.
  • Leads collaborative, cross-functional, process and delivery improvement initiatives aligned with company and departmental objectives.
  • Mentors project managers and is an agent of positive change and thought leader to drive continuous improvement of the project delivery process.
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance.

  • Highly advanced ability to liaise with individuals across a wide variety of operational, functional, and technical disciplines.
  • Highly advanced persuasion and negotiation skills when working with internal/external customers.
  • Advanced knowledge of broad business and finance related knowledge.
  • Advanced influence, mediation & conflict management skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work experience.
  • 8+ years IT project delivery experience.
  • PMO / Portfolio Management experience.
  • Intermediate knowledge of software development lifecycle methodologies.
  • 1+ year release management experience.
  • MS Project or equivalent project management tools.
  • Time/effort tracking and financial reporting tools.
  • Sharepoint
  • MS Office

 

Preferred:     

  • Advanced knowledge of software development lifecycle methodologies. 
  • Insurance or reinsurance industry knowledge.
  • Proficient in application development process/methodologies and possess the ability to disseminate them to a team.
  • Master’s degree
  • PMP, PgMP, FLMI, ACS, or AIAA
  • Insurance or reinsurance industry knowledge.
  • 12+ years IT project delivery experience.
  • Advanced knowledge and implementation of software development lifecycle methodology changes.
